Energy delivered during a charge session (e.g. last AC charge in Wh). Useful to verify wallbox vs car reporting.

hv_block_resistance · mOhm · hybrid_hv

Per-block internal resistance inside the HV pack. Used in Toyota-style battery health checks — higher values can indicate aging cells.

hv_block_voltage · mV · hybrid_hv

Per-block / per-module voltage inside the pack (Toyota-style).

hv_battery_soc · % · hybrid_hv

Traction battery SOC. May be standard PID 5B, a UDS DID, or a manufacturer Mode 01 request. Never merge by hex number alone.

hv_discharge_request · daW · hybrid_hv

Hybrid controller request to discharge the HV pack — part of SOC and power management.

hv_battery_current · A · hybrid_hv

Pack current (sign convention varies: charge vs discharge).

hv_pack_inlet_temp · °C · hybrid_hv

Temperature of cooling air entering the hybrid battery pack. Helps explain SOC-dependent cooling behaviour.

Pack or module temperature. Not ICE coolant.

Temperature of the motor-generator inverter (power electronics). Distinct from MG winding temp and engine coolant.

mg_phase_current · A · hybrid_hv

Phase current on the motor-generator (not HV pack current). Used for detailed hybrid power analysis.

mg_rpm · rpm · hybrid_hv

Speed of the electric motor-generator (MG1/MG2). Not the same as Engine RPM: in EV mode MG can spin while ICE RPM is zero. Sign may indicate direction.

mg_temperature · °C · hybrid_hv

Winding or module temperature of MG1/MG2. High values under load may indicate cooling stress.

mg_torque · Nm · hybrid_hv

Torque from MG1/MG2. Positive/negative sign and scale vary by manufacturer — compare with MG RPM and HV current.

PHEV charge current.

charger_power · W · charging

Electrical power of the PHEV on-board charger during AC or DC charging.

charger_voltage · V · charging

PHEV on-board charger AC or DC voltage. Not pack voltage.

output_shaft_speed · rpm · hybrid_hv

Hybrid transaxle output shaft speed. Compare with vehicle speed to understand gear ratio and EV/ICE blend.

power_electronics_temp · °C · hybrid_hv

Coolant or module temperature near hybrid inverters/OBC. Not the HV pack or ICE coolant sensor.

regen_brake_torque · Nm · hybrid_hv

Regenerative braking torque — how much slowing force comes from the electric motor recovering energy into the battery.

hv_requested_engine_power · daW · hybrid_hv

Mechanical power the hybrid system is requesting from the gasoline engine.

ambient_air_temp · °C · ice

Outside air. Standard PID 46 on many cars; manufacturer DID on others.

aux_12v_voltage · V · electrical

Low-voltage battery, often a manufacturer PID on hybrids.

engine_load · % · ice

How hard the engine is working as a percentage of its maximum capacity. It is not the same as throttle position or actual torque.

control_module_voltage · V · electrical

OBD module / 12 V related voltage (PID 42). Not HV pack voltage.

coolant_temp · °C · ice

ICE coolant. Do not confuse with HV pack temperature.

oil_temp · °C · ice

Standard PID 5C when supported.

engine_rpm · rpm · operating

Crankshaft speed. Almost always a standard Mode 01 PID.

fuel_level · % · ice

Standard Mode 01 PID 2F. Not HV battery SOC.

intake_air_temp · °C · ice

Temperature of air entering the engine. Used by the ECU for fuel and timing calculations.

map · kPa · ice

Absolute pressure in the intake manifold (MAP). At idle it reflects engine vacuum; under boost it rises above atmospheric.

maf · g/s · ice

Mass of air entering the engine per second. Helps the ECU calculate fuel delivery and load.

throttle_position · % · operating

How far the throttle is open (relative). On drive-by-wire cars this may differ from accelerator pedal position.

vehicle_speed · km/h · operating

OBD vehicle speed (not GPS). Standard Mode 01 PID 0D.
