Defines how DTCs are encoded (P/C/B/U categories) and the meaning of standardized (generic) codes. Manufacturer-specific codes share the same five-character form but not the same text.
Scope. Mode 03 / 07 / 0A responses and freeze-frame PID 02.
This catalog does not store the full paid J2012 code list. It stores the encoding rules and the standard that owns them.
